Soft amber color with a good hop to malt ratio! Tastes good with a brat & saurkraut on a cool afternoon! The finish is slightly harsh, but not overly so. I especially love the tappings at Granite City due to the fact that they serve free food if you have a Mug Club Membership! ;)

This one caught me off guard with the hoppiness bursting forth! It's so hoppy I can barely catch the malty after-taste, which is fine with me, I love hops! The color is a lighter amber, and very clear! I would order it again!

I was patiently each year for this seasonal brew to hit the taps!!! This is my second favorite behind Spaten. This has the right balance of malt & hops to create a crisp, clean taste that leaves a lasting impression; you'll always be wanting another!

As a side note, totally worth heading over to Capital Brewery's Beer Garden!!! Catch a pint on tap and enjoy a wonderful evening outdoors!

The Great Dane Hilldale's Ahi Tuna Sandwich was delicious, fresh and spicy! I was not expecting the pickled veg (radish, carrot & red onion) to be so very spicy! But in a good way. The Sirracha mayo was an added zing to top the veg on the rare seasoned tuna steak! I would definitely order it again, espeically as a nice "lighter" summer sandwich! And the sweet potato fries were tasty as always!

Whole Foods Blood Orange Vanilla cake was surprisingly refreshing for cake. You had the zing of fluffy orange frosting layed with vanilla cake and covered with a light, sugary vanilla frosting topped with a white ganach with pretty colors. All together it worked as a orange dreamcicle yumminess! Not something you'd want a lot of, but wonderful in monderation for the warmer months of the year!

Desianna got to meet her cousin Lilly this past weekend. It was quite the meeting... Lilly was not her usual, and Desianna was more than excited to have someone new to play with! As you can see from the video Lilly really wanted nothing to do with Desi, but she wasn't giving up! Desi just kept trying to bring toys up to Lilly to entice her, but Lilly was stubborn! Lol... Oh well, maybe they'll be better at the end of April when Desi will go back to MN with us to meet the rest of the family! Enjoy the video!!!

Desianna Update

So we've had Desianna for 2 full weeks! She's now 10 weeks old, and after going to the Vet on Friday for her second set of puppy shots we found out she's gained 2 lbs and is taller! So her total weight is now 4.3 lbs!!! She's still considered "lean" by the Vet, but she's doing great! Her worms are gone and her UTI has cleared up too! Otto has been working with her on the "sit" and "come" commands, while I've been playing "fetch" and snuggling with her!!!

We've been keeping Desianna awake after 5pm in hopes of her sleeping through the night (or until her bladder wakes her); and so far it's been working wonderfully! Although it's tough having to keep a puppy awake, but we have managed thus far (until tonight)...

I was playing with her when I pulled the laptop down off the counter to do a couple things on the computer. Somehow she found herself in my lap, curled up and went to sleep... Then Otto came down and caught me! Oops! Lol!
She was just too cute! I couldn't bring myself to wake her up. I did in the end have to move her so I could stand up and get dinner started... she was not a happy puppy with that decision, but she'll live!!!

The New Addition

We'd like to welcome a new addition to our home! Desianna Jetta Dingfelder! We picked her up on Sunday from the breeder, and we've all been doing well ever since! Desianna's Birthday is December 27, 2010; that puts her at 8 weeks at this point and she's about the size of a gallon of milk, and only weighs 2.3 lbs. We've been crate training her and she's responding well! Most nights we all get a good 5-6 hrs of sleep before bathroom breaks! (definitely more sleep than Otto or I was expecting!) At this point her two favorite activities are napping and playing fetch! (seriously, she plays fetch!!!) She's very intelligent, sweet and mellow (for a puppy)! She had her first vet visit tonight, and we've had our first set back; found out she has worms! At least we were able to get her some meds and get them started to clear it up!!! I will be sure to post many more pictures and updates in the near future!!!

Anyhow, I got into Rochester in time to meet up with Jeb for dinner! And it was quite a combination! Sushi & Pie!!! I now love this combination, and will definitely be repeating this again in the future! Anyhow, 3 hrs later we enjoyed some super tasty endamame, green tea, sushi & pie ala mode with good conversation! Now to head to Stewartville in hopes of the roads being better past the airport.
